Fire of Anatolia

Fire of Anatolia (Anadolu Ateşi), considered Türkiye's pioneer and one of the world's largest dance groups, is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special stadium show.

The event will take place at Beşiktaş Stadium on June 2, offering a unique experience to the audience by bringing together the power of dance, Turkish culture and the history of Anatolia.

Mustafa Erdoğan, who leads arguably one of Turkey's most famous dance troupes, believes his household name group can no longer perform at a venue near the Aspendos Ancient Theater, located in the southern province of Antalya's Serik district, due to its landlord's high rent demand.

The Fire of Anatolia dance troupe is readying to stage new performances to draw attention to the tragedies refugees experience in Turkey, Mustafa Erdoğan, the general director of the group, has said.  

The Fire of Anatolia will perform an exclusive show for its 16th anniversary at Istanbul's Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater on Aug 14. Four generations of the dance troupe, including six-year-old new members, will perform in the show.

Mustafa Erdoğan, the founder and general art director of Turkey's internationally acclaimed dance troupe, the Fire of Anatolia, said he had received offers to open dance schools abroad, adding that it was his dream to realize such a project.

The world-famous Turkish dance group Fire of Anatolia started its eighth China tour on Dec. 18 with a well-received performance at Shanghai's Oriental Art Center.

The two-hour show - featuring a synthesis of Turkish folk dance with ballet, modern dance and other dance disciplines - earned a period of sustained applause from the Chinese audience.

"The Legend of Aspendos," a new project by the Turkish dance troupe Fire of Anatolia, will be on the stage for the first time on Aug. 8 at the historical Aspendos Theater.
