The International

The 40th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) with the contributions of the Culture and Tourism Ministry, was closed with an award ceremony held at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Harbiye.

The winners of international and national competitions were announced at the event.

Ivan Ivanov, better known for his gaming nickname MinD_ContRoL, became a millionaire after an impressive victory at a Dota 2 tournament.
Ivanov is part of Team Liquid, who defeated the Chinese team Newbee in the big final of The International 2017 in the game Dota 2.

Fikret Reyhan's "Yellow Heat" was the big winner at the awards for the 36th Istanbul Film Festival, picking up four Golden Tulips, including one for best film.

"Yellow Heat" was closely followed by Yeşim Ustaoğlu's "Clair Obscur," which one three awards, including one for best director to the veteran filmmaker Ustaoğlu.

The 35th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), presented this year's awards at a ceremony at the Haliç Congress Center on April 15.

The Golden Tulip for the Best Film in the National Competition of the festival went to "Toz Bezi" (Dust Cloth), directed by Ahu Öztürk, who received the award from the jury head, Müjde Ar.

French-Turkish director Deniz Gamze Ergüven's film "Mustang" has won four awards at the 60th International Seminci Film Festival in Valladolid, Spain. 

The awards included the second award of the festival, the Silver Spike, as well as the International Foreign Press Award, the Young Seminci Award and the Viewers Award. 

Famous Turkish actress Tuba Büyüküstün, who is popular in the Arab world, will be presented with the Best Actress Award at the International Giuseppe Sciacca Awards in Vatican.

It was announced in a press statement that the actress will receive the award in the "Young Actresses" category of the cinema and theater field. 

Every politician likes to say that Turkey has great potential for everything due to its young population. The subject could be soccer or technology or literature or arts, it doesn't matter; Turkey always has potential. The problem is that we never seem to realize the potential we have. 

Can e-sports be any different? 

The International Zeugma Film Festival will be held between Nov. 3 and 9 in the southern province of Gaziantep. The festival will bring more than 80 selected national and foreign films to the city and offers the audience a chance to join talks with master filmmakers.
