Bulgaria: 3 Parties asked the State to Investigate who is behind the Ukrainian site “Myrotvorets”

GERB, "Vazrazhdane" and BSP demanded that the Bulgarian state intervenes in the case with the inclusion of names of Bulgarian citizens in a list of enemies of Ukraine, published on the Ukrainian site "Myrotvorets" (Peacemaker).

Bulgarian-Russian TV Station to Be Launched on March 01

A Bulgarian-Russian TV channel, dubbed HMTV, will be broadcast in Bulgaria starting March 01, the Union of Bulgarian Journalists has said.

It cites documents of the broadcast media watchdog, the Council for Electronic Media (CEM), which has granted registration to the channel's owners at its lates session.

Lack of Transparency, Pluralism Contribute to Bulgaria's Declining Media Freedom

The lack of transparency of media ownership and the decreasing media pluralism are among the main factors contributing to Bulgaria's declining media freedom.

This was one of the most common opinions expressed by participants at a discussion entitled "The risks to freedom of expression".

Half Of Bulgaria's Journalists Under Economic and Political Pressure – Survey

Every other journalist in Bulgaria is subjected to political and economic pressure, shows a survey of the "Reporter" and the "Konrad-Adenauer" foundations, quoted by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists.

It was done by Krum Blagov of the "Reporter" foundation and Orlin Spasov of the Sofia University among 100 journalists and editors and 15 media owners in Bulgaria.
