Hazardous cargo from burnt truck polluting river in northwestern Greece

The Municipality of Dodoni in northwestern Greece is appealing to the state authorities to remove a burnt truck packed with potentially hazardous chemicals that has been abandoned in the village of Tyria, nearly 10 days after it was destroyed by fire on the Egnatia Highway.

Kocijancic: Talks on IDs to resume with EU facilitation

BRUSSELS - Representatives of Belgrade and Pristina reached a deal allowing transport of dangerous goods over the administrative crossings from April 25 and visits by Serbian officials, while talks on the identity cards issue will continue with EU facilitation, Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for the EU foreign policy chief, said Wednesday.
