Hello, now don’t tell me the story about Catholic priests and nightclubs isn’t sexy. Not that we have a problem with Catholics, or all priests for that matter, but brother, it’s a bit odd to see hundreds of thousands being transferred from an Archdiocese (Syros) to some shady companies dealing in nightlife.

The Panathenaic Stadium, commonly known as the “Kallimarmaro,” stands proudly in the heart of Athens, near the Zappeion, at the base of Ardittos Hill. In a marathon and at times emotional session, the Central Council of Modern Monuments (KSNM) of the Ministry of Culture late Thursday unanimously approved the request from the Association of Relatives of the Victims of the Tempe railway disaster to organize a memorial concert at the Panathenaic Stadium (also known as the Kallimarmaro) on Friday, October 11.

It seems the dispute between the families of the victims of the Tempi train accident, regarding the concert at Kallimarmaro, is coming to an end.

Anna Korakaki addressed the issue that arose with her eyes:
“After giving my mind and body the time they needed, and now with a clearer head and a sense of calm, I can reflect on this year, whose biggest goal was, of course, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. At 28, I had the blessing and honor of representing my country in the Olympics for the third consecutive time.”

Long jump gold medalist Miltiadis Tentoglou on Thursday declined the Hellenic Olympic Committee's (EOE) offer to be the flag bearer for the Greek delegation at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.

Instead, Tentoglou expressed his desire to be the Greek flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Hours after winning the gold medal in the long jump at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Miltos Tentoglou was nominated by the president of the Hellenic Olympic Committee to carry the flag at the closing ceremony on Sunday.

State broadcaster ERT reported the nomination, with the official announcement of the flag bearers expected soon.
