Former co-leader of the Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Figen Yüksekdağ, who was stripped of her status in parliament in February 2017, has been given another prison sentence in two other cases this week.

A court in Germany has sentenced a 53-year-old Turkish citizen to three years in jail on charges of "membership of a foreign terror organization" after ruling that he carried out outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) activities in eight different German cities for over a year. 

Turkish Airlines will add seven new direct foreign flight destinations from Turkey's capital Ankara beginning from Oct. 1, 2015, officials said on May 14.

Ankara Chamber of Industry head Nurettin Özdebir told Anadolu Agency that Turkish Airlines had promised to add 27 flights per week from Ankara to seven new foreign destinations.

Starting from next year, several new airlines are starting flights from Rijeka to Germany, Britain, Lithuania and Latvia, in a bid to bring new development to the Kvarner region of northwest Croatia.
