The Fiba Group has not put its Russian banking unit Credit Europe Bank up for sale, Fiba board member Murat Özye?in said on Feb. 11, stressing that the company has "good relations" with the Russian government.

"We do not have any problems with Russia. We have not seen any pressure from Russia either. We are not planning to sell our banking unit," Özye?in said, as quoted by Reuters.

Turkey's Fibabanka has joined the ranks of banks interested in buying HSBC's Turkish unit, two sources close to the matter told Reuters, a business that is also being considered by ING Group.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are acquiring minority stakes in Fibabanka, a fast-growing Turkish bank.

A number of local and global lenders have expressed interest in buying a majority stake in Turkey's Finansbank, which is now owned by Greece's leading lender, the National Bank of Greece (NBG). 

There are 32 Turkish citizens on Forbes? 2015 list of billionaires, the magazine announced on late March 2.

Among these 32 people, Murat Ülker was ranked the richest person from Turkey. He is the chairman of Y?ld?z Holding, which owns U.K.-based United Biscuits and Godiva Chocolates, and has a net worth of $4.4 billion. Ülker was ranked the 368th wealthiest person in the world.

Do?an TV Holding Chairwoman Arzuhan Do?an Yalç?nda? has won the best businesswoman of the year award at the ?Stars of the Year Awards,? which was organized by Y?ld?z Technical University Business Administration Club for the 13th year.

She received the same prize in 2007 and 2011 as well.
