Azerbaijani leader thanks Turkey for show of solidarity

A top Azerbaijani leader on April 15 praised Turkey over a recent mutual display of solidarity against coronavirus.

"I express my deep gratitude to fraternal Turkey. Our countries always stand by each other, on both joyful and difficult days," First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva said on Instagram.

Azerbaijan's First Lady to Unveil Open-Air Museum in Veliko Tarnovo on Thursday

Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, is set to arrive in Bulgaria on September 22.

Aliyeva will head to Veliko Tarnovo, the old capital of Bulgaria, where she will unveil Southeast Europe's biggest open-air museum that has been renovated with funding granted by her foundation.

Bulgarian Vice President Margarita Popova has said the European Union should draw upon Azerbaijan's experience in anti-corruption.

Baku, Azerbaijan, prepares for the first European Games

The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will host the first European Games in history, between June 12-28, 2015, reports the correspondent of the AzerTAg, Iqbal Haciyev.

Over 6,000 athletes will compete for 239 medals. Furthermore, on the occasion of the Games, Azerbaijan will host 3,000 official representatives of the teams competing.
