Crete: Unbelievable images in Balos – Diving up to their necks from the boat to reach the beach
Photos from Balos, Crete, have been circulating on the Internet in recent hours, showing tourists disembarking from the boat and wading through water up to their necks to reach the beach.
Dairy giant Fonterra eyes massive cost cuts
New Zealand farming giant Fonterra said on Sept. 1 that it plans to slash around $598 million in costs over the next seven years following a fall in global dairy prices.
Chief executive Miles Hurrell foreshadowed future job cuts, saying the "focus on efficiencies will have implications for staff numbers."

Tanker runs aground off Crete
A Bermuda-flagged tanker ran aground off the Cretan port of Iraklio on Saturday morning but there were no reports of any injuries to the 31-strong crew, which included 10 Greeks, or any marine pollution.

Boats banned from anchoring near beaches in Saronic
The Saronic Port Authority on Monday announced that boats are not allowed to drop anchor in areas under its jurisdiction, including the sea area of Vouliagmeni Bay, until September 30.
The authority said the measure is part of efforts to secure bathers' safety and prevent accidents.
Super luxury yacht docks at Mykonos (video)
All eyes were on the the €2mln hyper luxury yacht ‘Pacific’ that dropped anchor at the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, Friday. The island is a popular destination for the word’s jet set, and as summer approaches these vessels will be a more frequent sight for the locals.

New Antikythera shipwreck expedition yields 50 objects
Marine archeologists recovered more than 50 objects during the underwater expedition at the site of the famous Antikythera Shipwreck between 26 August and September 16. The archaeologists hope that to expand on existing scientific knowledge about the wreck and its cargo after a closer examination of these objects.
