Government Postpones Agreement With Westinghouse For Successors

Bulgaria's Government left the signing of the agreement on the new unit of the Kozloduy NPP with the US company Westinghouse to their successors, report Bulgarian-language media. 

“The decision on the nomination of Bulgaria's European Commissioner is also left to the next government,” said vice PM Daniela Bobeva at a news conference after Wednesday's government session.

Cost of Public Procurement Appeal in Bulgaria To Grow by up to 8 Times

The fees for appealing public procurement deals at Bulgaria's Commission for Protection of Competition (KZK) may increase by up to 8 times.

According to draft changes to an ordinance of the Council of Ministers agreed by Deputy Prime Ministers Zinaida Zlatanova and Daniela Bobeva, the minimum fee is to amount to at least BGN 850 and the maximum amount is to increase to BGN 15 000.

Public Procurement Appeals Fee in Bulgaria To Be Tied to Deal Value

The fee for public procurement appeals in Bulgaria will be tied to the value of the deal, according to a set of proposed legal changes.

Speaking Tuesday at the annual conference on industrial construction and investments, Deputy Prime Minister Daniela Bobeva announced that the tariff for appealing public procurement procedures was to be approved next week by the Council of Ministers.
