Vasso Papandreou: PASOK bids farewell in Aigio – See photos
Family, friends, and PASOK members who worked alongside her throughout the years gathered on Saturday afternoon to say their final goodbye to Vasso Papandreou, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 80.
The funeral took place at the Church of Saint Basil in Valimitika, Aigio, her hometown.
Amusing and confusing
We have not witnessed such confusion since 1952, when Georgios Papandreou ran as a candidate MP with the Ellinikos Synagermos (Greek Rally) party of Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos.

Former prime minister George Papandreou is poised to announce his candidacy for the leadership of the centre left Movement for Change party (KINAL).
Papandreou held talks with all the other candidates over the weekend and today, when he met with MEP Nikos Androulakis and Vasilis Kegeroglou, the secretary of KINAL's parliamentary group.
