The governors of 41 provinces of Turkey were changed with a new decree law issued early on June 21. 

According to the decree published in the Official Gazette, 20 governors were relocated to the central office as part of decisions taken in a cabinet meeting and approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. 

Governors from a total of 22 provinces in the eastern and southeastern regions of Turkey have been called to the capital Ankara for a security meeting. The call came from the Turkish Interior Ministry, Anadolu Agency reported on Sept. 18. 

A total of 89 female Afghan police cadets began a two-month-long training program in Turkey on May 2.       

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Sebahattin Öztürk said a total of 2,627 Afghan policemen and women have joined the training program in Turkey since the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in 2011.
