Northern Cyprus will not sit at any negotiating table unless their sovereignty and equal status is recognized, Turkish Cypriot President Ersin Tatar has told AFP.

The Kazan Global Youth Summit, an international program under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Youth Capital 2022, where youth ministers from more than 20 countries have assembled, has stressed the importance of intercultural dialogue.

Turkey and Tatarstan can work together on energy resources, Economy Turkish Minister Nihat Zeybekci said March 27.

"Both nations have blood ties, and so should seek to further each other's interests," Zeybekci said after a meeting with Tatar President Rustam Minnikhanov as part of his visit to the oil-rich Russian federal subject.
