Grigor Dimitrov Progresses to the Next Round of the Stockholm Tournament

Grigor Dimitrov defeated 203cm giant Jerzy Janowicz with 2:0 sets and qualified for the finals of the ATP250 series at the Stockholm Tennis Championship.

The best Bulgarian tennis player won the match in a disputed race 7:5, 7:6 (5) in an hour and 38 minutes. So the balance of the matches between them is now 3:2 in favor of the eighth in the world rankings.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov will face Serbia's Viktor Troicki in the first round of the 2016 French Open at Rolland Garros in Paris on Sunday afternoon.

Dimitrov enters the tournament unseeded against number 22 Troicki.

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov reached the final of the Apia International tournament which is taking place in Sydney.

In a match from the semifinals played on Friday, Dimitrov defeated Gilles Muller from Luxembourg with 6:2, 7:6 (4).

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov was leading Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov 4-6, 6-3, 4-2 at the quarterfinals of the international tournament in Sydney, when rain stopped play, the Australian Associated Press reported on Thursday.

The match has been postponed until Friday morning.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Proceeds to Second Round of Rogers Cup

Bulgaria's top ranking male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded to the second round of the Rogers Cup on Tuesday.

In the first round, Dimitrov defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov from Ukraine with 6:4, 7:5 in a match, which lasted just over an hour and a half.

Despite the tough opponent, the Bulgarian demonstrated stable performance in both sets, conceeding only one break.
