A 30-year-old man who was involved in a high-speed car chase with the police on Athens' Kifissos Highway in the early hours of Thursday has died of injuries sustained when his vehicle crashed.

A police chase in central Athens early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a 23-year-old Turkish national who has been linked to Mehmet N.I. - a Turkish citizen who was murdered on November 5 in Kypseli. 

A Turkish national of Kurdish origin was arrested on Monday in the Agios Panteleimonas area of central Athens following a police pursuit.

The incident began when an SUV with two occupants failed to comply with a police signal to stop, prompting a chase. At one point, the two suspects attempted to escape on foot but police officers managed to apprehend one of them.

Bulgarian police detained a group of illegal migrants following a high-speed chase on Sofia's ring road. The incident occurred just before noon, near the village of Lozen. The chase began when a car with foreign plates failed to stop despite multiple police signals.

In Plovdiv, a 16-year-old boy without a driver's license engaged in a high-speed pursuit with the police, reaching speeds of up to 170 km/h, reports BNT. The youth, reportedly intoxicated, was encouraged to drive by his father, who was also heavily intoxicated, after the two had attended a wedding.

The chase began when the two 38-year-olds stole a car in front of its owner’s eyes, with the forces of the OPKE and the DIA team immediately mobilized.

Two individuals were arrested following a dramatic police chase in Acharnes, East Attica, on Wednesday.

Shortly before noon, police were alerted to a stolen vehicle outside Acharnes Town Hall. A team from the OPKE crime prevention unit located the vehicle and initiated a pursuit, with support from DIAS motorcycle units.

A third suspect was apprehended on Tuesday over the death of a 29-year-old police officer during a car chase in Aspropyrgos, West Attica.
