Veteran theater actor Ferhan Şensoy, who died on Aug. 31 after being hospitalized on July 2 due to internal bleeding, cardiovascular diseases and respiratory failure, was laid to rest yesterday.

The first ceremony for Şensoy was held at Ses Theater in Beyoğlu.

The 19th Yap? Kredi Afife Theater Awards were held on April 27 at the Haliç Congress Center. 

The award for the best actress and actor went to Asl? Y?lmaz and Tu?rul Tülek, respectively, at this year's ceremony. 

The nominees for the 19th Yap? Kredi Afife Theater Awards were announced at a press conference held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Istanbul on March 30.

"We have received lots of criticism; many things hurt us. But we still continue," said Yap? Kredi Art Consultant Haldun Dormen, a veteran actor.
