The year 2024 has been a landmark year for Christos Mouzakitis. The 17-year-old footballer has had a standout season, winning the Youth League, earning a spot on Olympiacos’ senior team, and making his debut for Greece’s National Team yesterday (November 17) against Finland in the Nations League.

Super League leader Panathinaikos narrowly maintained its four-point advantage at the top of the table with a 1-0 victory at PAS Giannina on Sunday.

Youssef El Arabi scored a hat-trick to see Olympiakos alone on top of the Super League table after its win over Volos, but it was Panathinaikos that stole the weekend's show with its Athens derby win over AEK on Sunday.

PAOK has gone five points clear at the top of the Super League, as Olympiakos came from behind to end the unbeaten run of second-placed Atromitos in a spectacular match at Peristeri on Sunday. Champion AEK lost again.

Lamia thrashed Panathinaikos 4-1 on its frozen pitch and is the huge favorite for a major upset in the Greek Cup, while the tournament's favorites had a smooth ride in the first leg of the round of 16 in midweek.

SOCCER: Olympiakos announced on Wednesday the signing of Serb striker Uros Djordjevic - who scored against the Reds in the Champions League qualifiers a few weeks ago - and Panathinaikos confirmed the acquisition of Malian holding midfielder Yacouba Sylla, formerly of Rennes and Aston Villa.
