The leader of the opposition and largest Albanian party in Northern Macedonia, the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), Ali Ahmedi tonight called on the country’s Constitutional Court to reject all appeals filed with it challenging the law governing the use of the Albanian language in the country.

In her address, she reminded that the opposition praised the self-proclaimed Prime Minister Albin Kurti and on that occasion pointed out "what kind of man Serbia is dealing with".

Closing statements are continuing this week in the Hague trial of former KLA commander Salih Mustafa.

However, Mickoski's accusation lost legitimacy when it turned out that the gunman, the angry owner of a hotel, was a supporter of the Alliance of Albanians, a partner party of his own VMRO-DPMNE.

In the pastoral village of Budakova/Budakovo in Kosovo's Suhareka/Suva Reka municipality, Hoxhaj then joins some of his former guerrilla comrades in the garden of a nearby café.

"We are in a pandemic era, and people are dying every day in spite of their age and health. I am afraid I might die without my status being resolved," he said. "My family doesn't deserve this humiliation."

In his second day of testimony at the trial of Salih Mustafa at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, a protected witness codenamed 3593 spoke about the conditions in which he was held at a Kosovo Liberation Army detention centre, and said he deserves compensation.

Witness Shefki Bujari, who was the head of the village Duhel/Dulje for many years, told Remzi Shala's retrial at Prizren Basic Court on Wednesday that several murders during the Kosovo war, particularly in his village, could have happened because of personal resentments or suspicions that the victims were collaborating with Serbian forces.

According to the Pristina newspaper Koha Ditore, PDK MP Abelard Tahiri asked Kurti why he did not have the courage to tell the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabi, who committed the crimes.

In December 2019, Gani was interviewed as a witness by prosecutors from The Hague. Gani is not his real name; BIRN is using a pseudonym to protect his identity. Many witnesses are fearful of potential retribution in Kosovo; this is one of the reasons that the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, which will try former KLA guerrillas for wartime crimes, was set up outside the country.
