Vucevic meets with German MFA's envoy

BELGRADE - In a discussion with the German MFA's envoy Michael Reiffenstuel in Belgrade, Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic said Serbia wanted the sponsors of a draft UN General Assembly resolution on Srebrenica to withdraw the document to "contribute to reconciliation in the region."

Vucevic said tabling a Srebrenica resolution would deepen divisions within Bosnia and Herzegovina itself as there was no consensus on that "very sensitive issue," the MoD said in a statement.

Vucevic said Serbia had publicly condemned the Srebrenica crime.

He also noted that the vote for the so-called Kosovo's Council of Europe membership represented a dangerous precedent and violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia as a full UN and CoE member state.
