Jankovic advances to quarterfinals in Doha

DOHA - Serbian tennis player Jelena Jankovic is through to the quarterfinals at the tournament in Doha, after defeating Russia's Alisa Kleybanova 6-1, 6-2 on Thursday.

Jankovic defeated the Russian player for just one hour and 12 minutes.

On her way to the semis, she will take on the winner of the match between Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic.

The Serbian player will not have much time for rest, because she will, together with Kleybanova, play the American pair Raquel Kops-Jones - Abigail Spears in the doubles eighth-finals in Doha.
