Dodik: Cooperation with Serbian authorities to continue

TREBINJE - The authorities of Republika Srpska (RS) will continue to cooperate with Serbian authorities and this continuity has never been brought into question, said RS President Milorad Dodik.

Despite some earlier speculations, I do not think there is any standstill, or a perceptible possibility for our relations to terminate or become complicated, Dodik told reporters in Trebinje, south Herzegovina.

He congratulated the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and its leader Aleksandar Vucic on the result achieved in Sunday's elections, and expressed his belief that Serbia will get a strong government, supported by the people, which will take up the task of putting the proclaimed political goals into practice.

According to Dodik, there is no doubt that the government will prove competent for the task, and that this will be the course that the country will take in the coming period. He also noted as important that Serbia has had fair and democratic elections.

"A new potential and capacity has been reached for reforms which Serbia has chosen," said RS President, noting that the people of Serbia have fully supported the SNS' platform - the European path and modernization of Serbia, Fena agency reports.
