Novak Đoković wins BNP Paribas Open

INDIAN WELLS -- Serbia's best tennis player Novak Đoković triumphed at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as he beat Switzerland's Roger Federer in the match late on Sunday.

The match ended 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).

Đoković thus won his first title this year and the 42th ATP title in his career. This is his third victory in the BNP Paribas Open.

Đoković who currently holds the second place on the world ATP list also scored his 16th victory against Federer in their 33 match.

The prize fund of the BNP Paribas Open totaled USD 6.16 million and Đoković claimed the USD 1 million.
