"Parliament to have MPs from 7 lists, in 12 clubs"

BELGRADE -- Serbia's new parliament, elected on Sunday, will have MPs from seven electoral lists - and they plan to form 12 "deputy clubs."

The SDPS, New Serbia, and the SPO-DHSS - that ran as part of a coalition led by the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) - will each have their own clubs, according to reports.

These clubs will number a total of 20 MPs - Rasim Ljajić's SDPS will have ten, and the remaining two parties, led by Velimir Ilić and Vuk Drašković respectively, five each.

Thus the Progressives will have 138 MPs in their group, among them four from another party they had in a pre-election coalition, the Movement of Socialists.

MPs from the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition will do the same, with the Socialists (SPS) forming a group of 25 MPs, the Pensioners (PUPS) another one with 12, while Dragan Marković Palma's United Serbia (JS) will have seven MPs in its own club.

The coalition led by the Democratic Party (DS) will have a single club with 19 members, but the New Democratic Party (NDS) will split in two groups, as the LSV will have a six-member club.

Of the three lists representing ethnic minorities, the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians will have its own group with six MPs. The daily Večernje Novosti writes that Riza Halimi's PDD with two MPs, and Sulejman Ugljanin's SDA with three could unite to form a parliamentary group.
