Nikolic meets with JAC Motors, Zastava representatives

BELGRADE - Serbia is ready to cooperate with the People's Republic of China, not only in the metal industry but also in agriculture, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Monday.

Nikolic made the statement during a meeting with delegations of China's JAC Motors company, headed by Chairman An Jin, and Kragujevac-based Zastava Vehicles Group, headed by Director Dragan Srejovic, the presidential press office said in a statement.

At the same time, Nikolic said that the state needs to show responsibility and care for its businesspeople, pointing out that Zastava Vehicles is an important company that must not be forgotten,

The JAC Motors chairman said that discussions with Zastava Vehicles Group representatives have been very successful so far and expressed hope that possibilities will be created in the future for cooperation in diverse fields.

The main objective is primarily to start joint production, which would lead to establishing a joint company, An Jin said.
