Vulin: We will not change policy on Kosovo

GRACANICA - Serbia's Minister without Portfolio in charge of Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin said on Thursday the policy on Kosovo would not change.

"The policy on Kosovo will not change. We will not recognize Kosovo as a country," he said in Gracanica.

The Brussels agreement on the normalization of relations and all related agreements will be implemented and Serbian officials will be present in Kosovo every day, he said.

The next government will decide whether to adopt a new resolution on Kosovo, he said.

He is concerned about the Kosovo bill on general elections because it reduces the rights of national minorities, stressing that it is a violation of the Brussels agreement.

Pristina will have to change the bill if it wants Serbs to live in Kosovo, otherwise it will legalize the results of ethnic cleansing, he said.

The provision that says only Kosovo citizens can vote, but not those born in Kosovo who were later driven out constitutes a continuation of the policy of ethnic cleansing, he said.

There are more voters in Kosovo now, but the new election law by Pristina is reducing their seats in the parliament, he said.
The Kosovo parliament accepted in general on Thursday the election bill, while the final vote for its adoption will happen after a debate and a vote on the amendments.

The actions of the Kosovo parliament are dangerous and disturbing and indicate that Serbs are not welcome, Vulin said.

This is unacceptable and the Serbian government has informed the international community about this, he said.

REgarding the potential creation of a Kosovo army, he said UN SC Resolution 1244 stated clearly there was no other armed force in Kosovo except KFOR.
