Lajcak, Guterres discuss W Balkans, EU enlargement

NEW YORK - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said on Thursday he had spoken with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York about the Western Balkans and EU enlargement.

"Such an honour to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. I enjoyed our conversation about the Western Balkans and EU enlargement and appreciate his insights and assessments," Lajcak wrote in a post on X.

Earlier, he met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo to discuss the Western Balkans, developments in the region and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
