Atanackovic: Realistic deadlines for measure implementation

BELGRADE - The expose put forth by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic sets realistic deadlines for the implementation of measures which aim to bring about a recovery of the Serbian economy, President of the Serbian Association of Employers Nebojsa Atanackovic stated on Tuesday.

”The Association of Employers and the economy in general rightfully expect many attitudes toward it to change,” Atanackovic told Tanjug.

He noted that the expose of the new government was more comprehensive than those presented by previous governments and that deadlines were set for the fulfilment of promises.

”When the deadlines expire, we will see whether we have actually been successful. The new government took on the greatest burden,” Atanackovic said and noted that it is important for the government to act with determination in the implementation of announced measures.

In his expose, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic noted that the aim is to reinforce the private sector by 2018 and make it larger than the public sector.

”This is a realistic deadline, as the year of 2018 is neither close at hand nor too far away, this is a realistic date when an improvement might be felt,” Atanackovic said.

He noted that it is important for the labour law to be adopted within the set deadline and for its provisions to be adjusted to the European legislations.
