Serbian Film Association delegation visits Bollywood
BELGRADE - A four-member delegation of the Serbian Film Association (SFA) has visited India to exchange experience and improve cooperation in film and television between the two countries, the SFA stated on Wednesday.
The Indian embassy in Belgrade helped the SFA organize the visit, which was from Arpil 24 to 30.
The chief goal is to inform the Serbian delegation about the Indian film industry, which makes more than 1000 films every year and to improve the film and television exchange between the two countries.
During the stay in New Delhi and Mumbai, the delegatoin visited film studios and met with officials from better known companies making documentary and feature films and commercials, as well as with officials of the Indian Ministry of Information and the national corporation for film development.
The delegation also met with officials of the Yash Raj Films Studios, one of the largest film companies in India, and production companies Sphereorigins, Reliance and Zee Entertainment. The delegation also visited the flim city Noida in New Delhi.
The Serbian film industry has an open invitation for cooperation from India and the SFA and the Indian embassy in Belgrade will continue to work on that, with the first results expected in autumn, when a visit by Indian producers to Serbia will be organized, the statement says.
