Duma: South Stream project implemented according to plans

MOSCOW - The realisation of the South Stream gas pipeline project in Serbia and Bulgaria is developing according to the plans, Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin told the Russia-24 news channel.

The construction of the pipeline in Serbia is expected to begin in 2014 and the first gas quantities should be transported by 2016, Naryshkin said as reported by the Russian New Agency ITAR TASS.

Naryshkin noted that Serbia will record first revenues from the pipeline in 2016.
