"Slovakia not changing position on Kosovo"
BELGRADE -- Slovak Ambassador in Belgrade Jan Varso has said on Wednesday that Bratislava's position on the non-recognition of Kosovo remains unchanged.
Slovakia's stand on the non-recognition of Kosovo remains unchanged, Varso told Tanjug, adding that "many have speculated about that".
Varso notes that during his recent visit to Belgrade, Miroslav Lajcak, Slovakia's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, confirmed that Slovakia is not changing the position in relation to the recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
"That is all I can say to you about this," the Slovak ambassador said.
Slovakia is one of five EU member-states that have not recognize the proclamation made unilaterally by Kosovo's ethnic Albanians in early 2008.
