Zulu chief wants to propose a Serbian woman
In the middle of Africana savanna Milica Lazovic has refused a proposal that would any other dark-skin woman in her surrounding gladly accept.
While warriors were dancing at the tam-tam rhythm, Milica said ‘no’ to the Zulu tribe chief who proposed her in a small African village.
The event resembling scenario of an adventure romance took place in the South African Republic during the tour of the Zavicaj Ethnic-Association of Zlakusa.
- After concert in Johannesburg we went sightseeing the Lesedi Village inhabited by various tribes, the Zulu tribe being the largest one. A chief, whose name I have forgotten, asked for my hand. I was caught by surprise for a moment, but later everything turned out to be funny and charming – a student who got proposed by the chief during folklore dancing says.
The Zulu warriors presented their dances to the people from Uzice. Those dances are rather violent and hitting a dancing partner in the head is dominating in them. When Serbian group was to demonstrate its folklore, the tribe was extremely surprised because a group dance is totally unthinkable to it. While the Zulu warriors refused to join the Serbian dancers, the people from Zlakusa accepted the offered menu that included among other food the dried worms as well.
A Serb owns a hotel on 40 acres
- We were guests of a Serb whose hotel covers 40 acres of land. Half of it is under roof. Under the dome there is artificial sky that simulates various parts of the day. In one room there is dawn, in the second one morning, in the third noon and in the fourth one there is night life going on. We performed there, too...
