UK Minister for Europe in Serbia on Monday
BELGRADE - UK Minister for Europe David Lidington is coming to Belgrade on Monday to talk with Serbia's top officials about UK-Serbia relations and other relevant issues.
As the Serbian president's office has announced, President Tomislav Nikolic will first receive Lidington, and the UK official will then meet Ivica Dacic, Serbia's first deputy prime minister and foreign minister.
As Dacic said previously, Serbia's relations with the UK, although of great importance for our country, have not improved much in recent years, and Serbian officials have urged their UK colleagues repeatedly to find a common interest.
At a press conference on Sunday, Dacic said that June will be a very busy month for Serbia in terms of diplomatic activity.
I have extended an invitation to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who will probably visit Belgrade on June 17, Dacic said, adding that before that, on June 10, Belgrade is to welcome Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Montenegrin Foreign Minister Igor Luksic will also visit Belgrade, as well as Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin who will be in Serbia from June 27 to July 1, the Serbian foreign minister said.
