Veljovic temporarily at helm of criminal police department

BELGRADE - General Police Director Milorad Veljovic will run the criminal police department until the appointment of a new chief, the Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) stated in a release on Saturday.

The MUP notes that police generals Rodoljub Milovic, Mladen Kuribak, Zoran Tomasevic and Nenad Banovic have been dismissed.

The duties of the dismissed police chiefs will be temporarily assumed by their deputies, the release notes.
