'Educate to Win' exhibition opens at NBS

BELGRADE - Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic has declared open an international exhibition titled "Educate to Win", marking 130th anniversary of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).

The NBS is hosting 21st annual conference of the International Committee for Money and Banking Museums - ICOMON 2014, which is dedicated to preserving the heritage and financial education offered by money museums of central and other banks, and museum institutions.

At the exhibition which was opened on Wednesday evening, the participating countries will present their operations through placards, photographs of banknotes, coins and various education materials.

The NBS governor also opened a retrospective exhibition marking 10th anniversary of the Bank's Visitor Centre, including the selected content from the exhibition and education activities so far- invitations, placards, printouts, photographs of banknotes and events, catalogues.

With the events, the NBS marks 130 years since its foundation - July 2, 1884. On that very day, the bank began operating as the Privileged National Bank of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
