Tsvetan Vasilev Responds to BNB Governor, Threatens to Sue

The Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB) majority shareholder Tsvetan Vasilev responded to the claims of BNB Governor Ivan Iskrov in an open letter, published by the BGNES wire agency. 

“In the past few months I was subjected to a massive, purposeful and extremely manipulative campaign, which spread over everything, connected with my name,” the letter reads. 

“The main goal of the unprecedented pressure from media, directed by certain circles, was the Corporate Commercial Bank. The peak of the campaign was today's BNB press conference, which only proves the conspiracy plot to undermine the trust in the bank and to sell for a mere song all assets, financed  by the bank.”

“The fabricated claims of huge losses of the bank are being circulated by the lackeys of those who wish to destroy it. Isn't it strange, that the only arguments, presented by the mister governor, is the lack of files for the evaluation? Does anyone seriously think that this is possible? Of course the files are with the investigative authorities. Whose orders are you carrying out, mister governor? Isn't it strange, that you did not defend your subordinate, when he was accused before any evidence was gathered? Is this the way you defend the independence of one of the oldest institutions of the democratic society in Bulgaria?”

“Why you didn't let the shareholders find a working business solution for KTB? Why did you ignore with ease their affidavits and oral declarations? Do you think, mister governor, that you can behave in such an arrogant manner with representatives of the state fund of an independent country?
