Udovicic, Vusurovic sign Memorandum on Cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbia's Youth and Sports Minister Vanja Udovicic and Head of Directorate for Youth and Sports in the Montenegrin government Igor Vusurovic signed Thursday in Belgrade a Memorandum on Cooperation in sports and youth policy.

Udovicic said that regional cooperation is a priority for the Serbian government and stressed that such foreign policy is best promoted through sports.

Some of our greatest sporting achievements came when we were part of the same country and I believe that together we can be even more successful. We plan to promote cooperation with all countries that are also committed to working together towards building a more stable and successful region, said Udovicic.

Vusurovic pointed to numerous actions that stemmed from the cooperation between the two countries, including the formation of the University League, the campaign against hate speech online No Hate Speech Movement, and others.

I hope that after this Memorandum is signed, young athletes will continue to make progress and build successful sports careers such as Vanja and I had, said Vusurovic, who, like Udovicic, is a former medal-winning athlete.
