"Apex" Stays in Game, City of Belgrade Gives Up "Bus Plus"
City leaders decided not to terminate the contract with “Apex“, because it would cost them more than 5, 6 million euro.
After six months of negotiation with representatives of „Apex solution technology“ and various announcements that they would cancel „Bus plus“, city leaders decided not to take over the majority of this company. The contract will remain unchanged, which means that „Apex “will still have 8, 53 percent of monthly income from sales and ticket control.
According to the contract, the city did not invest a dime in „Bus plus“, but committed to send 8, 53 of monthly income from the sales and ticket charges to the „Apex “account. To improve the quality of public transportation, in the directorate are thinking of introducing again the obligatory validation of personalized tickets. That way, in the directorate could again analyze the number of passenger which could eventually lead to the changes in the number of vehicles on transport lines.
On the meetings of „Apex “with leaders of the directorate, there were mentioned various possibilities, even that if the passenger doesn't read off his ticket in the vehicle, the conductor would have the right to block it. The passenger would then have to unblock the card, which would cost him around 400 dinars. If he doesn't unblock the card, the conductor could give him a penalty.
The directorate still hasn't confirmed if this would be put into effect. Also, next year, the yearly ticket for pensioners will probably be cancelled and they will have to pay the monthly ticket. Depending on the size of the pension, there will be formed various categories of...
