Additional Trains and Passenger Cars Added to Sofia-Burgas Route by Bulgarian State Railways
Starting this week, Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) will increase the number of trains between Sofia and Burgas. This was announced following a meeting between the Minister of Transport and Communications, Georgi Gvozdeikov, and the managements of "Holding BDZ" EAD and "BDZ-Passenger Transport" EOOD.

New Protest Against 60 % Rise in Public Transport Fare to be Held in Sofia
A new protest against the planned 60 % increase in the price of the tickets for public transport starting from June 1 is expected to take place in the Bulgarian capital on Tuesday.
Starting from Wednesday, the price of a single ticket will increase from BGN 1 to BGN 1.6. The fine for passengers travelling without ticket is set to rise from BGN 20 to BGN 40.
Five hurt as trains collide in Switzerland
Two trains slammed into each other near the Swiss city of Zurich early Friday, tipping over carriages and injuring at least five people, police said.
A conductor was in a serious condition after the crash, which saw ambulances, fire and rescue services rush to the scene as a rescue helicopter hovered above.

Security camera footage handed over in defense of ticket inspector
STASY, the company that manages fixed-track forms of public transport in Athens, said on Thursday that it had notified judicial authorities about an incident earlier this week involving a commuter who claimed she was slapped by a ticket inspector at the central Omonia metro station after refusing to pay a fine.
