PM Ponta, at Putna Monastery: I wish we have better country, in which we should be more united, more prosperous
Prime Minister Victor Ponta and his wife, MEP Daciana Sarbu MEP have participated also this year in the religious service dedicated to the patron of the Putna Monastery, Virgin Mary, officiated by Archbishop Pimen of Suceava and Radauti and Ignatie Elhochi, Metropolitan Bishop and Antiochian Orthodox Archbishop of France, Western and Central Europe together with a group of priests.
''It is already very many years now since I have come here, to Putna, on Virgin Mary's Assumption. At the same time, I know that, all over the country, there are many monasteries and churches which have as holiday the day of Virgin Mary's Assumption and I am very glad that people are together, at the church. It is a great holiday and I only wish, as a saint has already said, that Romania is Virgin Mary's garden, to have a better country in which we should be more united and more prosperous,'' said PM Ponta at Putna Monastery.
In his sermon, Archbishop Pimen compared Romania to Virgin Mary's garden and spoke about the belief in the help of Mother of God, underscoring that the most beautiful prayers are dedicated to Virgin Mary.
