49th Nis Film Festival kicks off

NIS - The 49th Nis Film Festival opened on Saturday evening with the symbolic handing over the keys to the city to the jury president, actress Dragana Varagic.

Actor Misa Janketic was presented with the lifetime achievement award named after the great Serbian actor Pavle Vujisic.

The festival will feature 11 films produced in Serbia over the past year.
It kicked off on Saturday evening with 'See You In Montevideo', a film by Dragan Bjelogrlic.

The film festival in Nis ends on August 29 with the traditional presentation of acting awards.

This year's festival is organized with the financial assistance of the Serbian Ministry of Culture, which supported the event with RSD 5 million.
