Serbian Army and NIS sign memorandum

BELGRADE -- Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić and Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) CEO Kirill Kravchenko signed on Tuesday a memorandum on cooperation.

The document aims at improving traffic safety and the storage and transport of hazardous and explosive materials.

Upon signing the memorandum at the Batajnica airport near Belgrade, Gašić and Kravchenko expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing successful cooperation beween the Ministry of Defense, Serbian Armed Forces and NIS.

The memorandum aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of organization, technology and use of vehicles in the road transport, as well as the application of modern information technologies in transport and transport costs.

The document also envisages education and training of drivers of NIS passenger and cargo vehicles at the army training grounds, as well as joint participation in science and research projects and exchange of experts in the fields of transport and transport safety.
