BELGRADE -- Representatives of the B92 Fund on Wednesday visited the town of Obrenovac to deliver some of the books donated during a recent humanitarian campaign.

The books were collected during the "Flood of Love" event, and were today handed over to the First Elementary School and to the Gerontological Center in this Belgrade municipality devastated during the May flooding.

Thanks above all to the good will of the citizens taking part in the event, the Fund collected RSD 1,263,733 with the help of its volunteers, along with the Atelje 212 Theater, the City Assembly of Belgrade, the Stari Grad Municipality, the Dom Omladine youth center, the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, and the selfless assistance from sponsors - NIS, Telekom Srbija, Danube Foods, Tehnounion Exim, the Stari Grad Municipality and Elixir Group.

The money will be used to buy computer and video surveillance equipment for the Perka Vićentijević kindergarten in Obrenovac, for repairs to be done at the Milica Nožica kindergarten in Valjevo, to finish reconstruction works on the flooded basement space in the Bambi kindergarten in Požarevac, and to finish works to repair the main building of the Dečja Radost kindergarten in Svilajnac.

Those who took part in the humanitarian event earlier this month in Belgrade also donated books, textbooks and picture books. Beside Obrenovac, these will also be given to the Svilajnac kindergarten.
