Arrested officers of so-called Kosovo Police placed in custody
KRALJEVO - At the proposal of the Higher Prosecutor's Office in Kraljevo, a local court has placed three officers of the so-called Kosovo Police in 30-day custody.
The three, identified as B S, aged 58, R Z, aged 48, and M S, aged 62, were arrested on June 14 in the territory of central Serbia.

Telephone numbers in Kosovo-Metohija unchanged - gov't office
BELGRADE - Domestic charges apply - and will apply - to telephone traffic between central Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija, and the +383 geographic area code will not be required for calls in the Telekom Srbija landline and mobile networks, in spite of politically-motivated statements by the Pristina regulatory body, the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija said in a statement on Tuesday.
Elections begin in Serbia
BELGRADE - Early parliamentary and regular provincial and local elections began in Serbia on Sunday.
The polling stations opened at 7 am and will close at 8 pm, which will also mark the end of election silence.

New Serbian Media Sell-Offs Raise Concerns
A total of 28 media outlets will be offered for sale in the next round of privatisations which should be concluded by the end of the October, the Journalists' Association of Serbia said.
Another 22 media outlets will be shut down or transferred to their employees free of charge.

Serbia has around 150,000 Roma
BELGRADE - Serbia has a total of 147,604 Roma people, making up 2.05 percent of the population, according to a study titled Roma People in Serbia, by Svetlana Radovanovic and Aleksandar Knezevic of the Faculty of Geography in Belgrade.
The study was done based on data from the census conducted by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia in 2011.
