BELGRADE -- Extreme weather is continuing in Serbia this summer, with a new round of storms hitting many areas of the country late on Wednesday.
A tornado-like storm was reported in a village near the town of Lazarevac.

State of emergency remains in Obrenovac
OBRENOVAC -- Aleksandar Vučić was in Obrenovac on Monday where he said a state of emergency in this municipality would remain in force at least until next Monday.
Obrenovac was one of the worst-affected areas of Serbia during the May floods.

Field hospital set up in Obrenovac
BELGRADE - A field hospital, which is part of the Military Medical Academy, started working in a schoolyard in Obrenovac on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense has announced.
This temporary healthcare facility will provide treatments for the citizens living in the flood-affected areas and members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Interior Ministry repairing the damage.

BELGRADE - Severe weather conditions, torrential rain and floods left 135,000 homes across Serbia without power, and areas in the most difficult situation are Lazarevac, Obrenovac, Valjevo, Paracin and Smederevska Palanka, the Serbian electric power company EPS released.
Deluge in Serbia Threatens Town of Obrenovac
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic visited the Belgrade municipality of Obrenovac on Friday where he said that the whole flood-stricken town will have to be evacuated.
"The situation is catastrophic and will get worse. Obviously the whole town will have to be evacuated," Vucic said.
"This hell will last for the next three months," he added.
