Sofia Fails to Become Host City for Euro 2020 Matches

Bulgaria will not host any matches of the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship, according to an announcement of UEFA.

UEFA announced the 13 venues that would host matches for the championship after a meeting of its executive committee in Geneva on Friday.

Sofia was one of the 19 candidates to host matches of Euro 2020 but it failed to make it among the 13 winners.

London's Wembley Stadium will host the the semi-finals and final of Euro 2020.

The quarter-finals and three group matches will be held in Munich, Baku, Rome and St Petersburg, according to reports of the BBC News.

The other host cities, which will hold three group games and a last 16 game, are Copenhagen, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest and Brussels.
