Radnicki beats Marseille in Champions League qualifications

MARSEILLE - Water-polo players of Kragujevac-based club Radnicki defeated the Marseille club 8-7 (3-2, 2-2, 2-1, 1-2) in the first round of qualifications within Group A for the Champions League in their hometown on Thursday evening.

After Marseille's initial lead, Radnicki managed to change the result with goals by Srdjan Vuksanovic (2-1) and then control the game during the entire match, leaving their rival no room for hope.

On Friday, Radnicki will play two matches. They will first face Hungary's OSC in the morning, and Georgia's Ligamus in the afternoon hours, which previously suffered a defeat from Italy's Posillipo (12-4) at the opening of the tournament.
