2.5% Voter Turnout by 8 am in Bulgaria’s Early Elections

Voter turnout in Bulgaria's early parliamentary elections stood at 2.5% by 8 a.m. on Sunday, according to Dimitar Ganev from polling agency Gallup International.

Ganev told the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) that voter turnout by 8 a.m. on Sunday was similar to that in the European Parliament elections held on May 25.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and are to close at 7 p.m., with an option to extend voting by one hour in the case of a queue outside the respective polling station.
