New graffiti on Visoki Decani monastery

BELGRADE - New graffiti in support of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the Albanian National Army (AKSh) appeared on the gate of Visoki Decani monastery, southern Kosovo-Metohija, on Monday morning, Sava Janjic, prior of the Serbian Orthodox monastery Visoki Decani, wrote on Twitter.

"This morning we have noticed another ISIS graffiti on the monastery's gate closer to the church. This is a shame," Janjic wrote.

He uploaded a photo showing graffiti daubed in red - ISIS and AKSh.

Graffiti saying ISIS - Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, Caliphate is coming, Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and Albanian National Army (AKSh) were discovered on Sunday on some of the buildings inside the compound of this medieval monastery protected by UNESCO.

Prior Janjic told Tanjug that the monks are shocked and very concerned, adding that they expect the security measures by KFOR and the Kosovo police to be stepped up.
