The presidential candidate of Dan Diaconescu - People's Party (PP-DD), Dan Diaconescu said on Tuesday in Drobeta Turnu Severin (south-western Romania) that "if the electors go to the polls on Sunday, November 2, he will get over 1.5 million votes," and with this result, he believes he can make it to the presidential runoff.

In a statement to AGERPRES, Dan Diaconescu admitted that "Victor Ponta is hard to defeat, but Klaus Iohannis is vulnerable and he will not stand much of a chance."

"If we get 100 votes in every polling station, we'll succeed," Diaconescu said.

According to Dan Diaconescu, "the 38,000 PP-DD members assigned to polling stations nationwide will make sure no irregularity is committed" and "his votes are not turned into spoilt votes by stamping once again the ballot paper when making the final count."AGERPRES
