Candidate Iohannis: I'm very optimistic, it's a very special day

The presidential candidate of the Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL), Klaus Iohannis said on Sunday after casting his ballot at polling station no. 68 in Sibiu, alongside his wife Carmen, that he's very optimistic about the outcome of the Sunday polls.

"It's a very beautiful day, I was told that the voter turnout, at least in my polling station, is very good. I'm very optimistic. I received phones, e-mails and phone messages filled with good thoughts. I want to send the same good thought to all the Romanians," Klaus Iohannis said.

He admitted that he is in a bit of a flap, but he also said he hopes that the Romanians will go to the polls in big numbers.

"I will be in a flap until the last round of vote comes to an end. I think it's only natural [to vote in Sibiu], that's the right thing to do, as I decided to hold my last electoral rally in Sibiu, I also decided to vote at home, then I will go to Bucharest," Iohannis said.AGERPRES
